[PTR] 6.2 PTR Tier and Trinket Testing

In the latest PTR version, tier bonuses and HFC trinkets have been made available for testing. This thread is for publishing results, which will be verified and organized later.

Prophecy of Fear:
Arcane Blast, Barrage, Explosion, Cone of Cold, Supernova, all can trigger Doom Nova.
Arcane Missiles and Arcane Orb cannot trigger Doom Nova.

Demon Phylactery:
Mana reduction effect does not work for Arcane Mages.

Soul Capacitor:
Can be triggered by Mage melee attacks. Will test wands later. Trinket is currently bugged though.

1hour log with Arcane T18 4pc.

Stats:


Weapon Enchant: Frostwolf.

Buffs: Arcane Brilliance.

Talents: NT/RoP/PC. Didn't use any during the fight.

If you are testing things, please include your stats, REMOVE YOUR TRINKETS / RING BUFF, and if you are using the mastery enchant as Arcane remove that as well.

Seems like the two ranged pets use the same attack. janna uses a frostbolt, which casts slower / hits harder so they all end up doing around the same amount of dmg per summon duration. Arthas is currently bugged and doesn't appear in combat logs, so dunno about him.

They can Crit, Multistrike, do NOT scale with Mana Adept, but DO scale with haste (heroism will increase # of attacks. By 1 for the ranged mobs, not sure for janna/arthas).

I THINK they scale with Spell Power. But I'll need to do more testing to confirm.

Nevermind. I no longer think they do.

You can summon 2 at once.

FoF +20% buff is not alive yet, not sure what's up with that.

2T18 Frost BF +40% applies to ALL BF-FFB, but is additive. That is to say, Brain Freeze goes from 85% bonus damage to 125% bonus damage.

Prophecy of Fear:

Can Proc - Fireball, Inferno Blast, Flamestrike, Pyroblast, Blast Wave, Dragons Breath, Frost nova

Cannot proc - Combustion, T18 Fire Phoenix Impact, Spellsteal, Meteor, Mirror Image: Fireball, Unstable Magic, Living Bomb application,tick and explosion, Counterspell

Prophecy of Fear:
Prismatic Crystal explosions do not trigger Doom Nova.
Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Frostfire Bolt, Frost Nova and Ice Nova trigger Doom Nova. Splitting Ice Ice Lances also trigger Doom Nova.
Icicles, Splitting Ice Icicles, Frost Bomb, Frozen Orb, Blizzard, Comet Storm, Unstable Magic do not trigger Doom Nova.

Fire T18:
Phoenix is conjured upon Pyroblast Impact. Icarus Rising is applied upon conjuring the Phoenix.
Icarus Uprising does not have DOT extension. It simply refreshes to 15 seconds base duration.

Unblinking Gaze of Sethe, "Darklight Ray" damage is affected by:
- Rune of Power
- Incanter's Flow
- Mana Adept
The AOE also hits Prismatic Crystal, and is amplified by the damage vulnerability.

It's really hard to get enough data, but now that I look at it I don't think the pets are scaling off our SP. Full gear janna vs. just 4pc janna hit for nearly identical values.

Arcane 4T18 pets aren't affected by resurrection sickness either. I guess it doesn't matter in most cases!

Did you notice a different # of swings coming from arthas?

I noticed that they all spawn randomly around you. Sometimes arthas gets lucky and spawns next to the enemy. I know he was getting 5 swings off with the gearset I have above after running to the boss. Did you notice anything different?

I only got arthas to spawn once and forgot to count his swings, didn't remember his damage was not logged yet. I will get on later and do more with him

Spawning a pet during Prismatic Crystal prevents the pet from attacking until you cast a spell or deal damage to another target.

I believe the same behaviour is seen with Mirror Images, though it matters much less in that case. Also, bosses with zone wide combat pulses will probably prevent that from being as much of a problem. Can you test MI though?

The pets don't actually have AoE protection at the moment. Will obviously get fixed but might be important when looking at logs.
