What sort of dps are you two able to pull, and how does it compare to other mages in your guild and the rest of the raid?

I was pretty much middle of the pack to top every pull as soon as my ilevel caught up and I got my Copelands/DMF. Just went Arcane however and the DPS increase is noticeable.

Indeed. I have crafted 670 Crit/Mastery legs, as Highmaul legs are not that great for us.

Grab as much Crit and Mastery as you can. The 660 PvP Conquest pieces have several Crit/Mastery pieces that are excellent for Fire (I was using Bracers and Helm primarily), and I was using them. Try and get the DMF Trinket, or a Copeland's Clarity. Both preferably. Otherwise until BRF, there is not ...

Combustion has a larger DPET than Fireball, and getting it right is important. Even if you are a second into a Fireball cast on your Combustion set up, stop the cast into your Meteor/Pyro chain. It actually isn't that bad, Fireball is very weak.

If there are 4+ targets, I have been. Whether or not it is correct I admittedly don't know. My guess was with lower amounts of crit, go for it, but with higher amounts, fish for the Pyro first to get the Pyro dot spread as well. We were talking on IRC about it, but did not have any real conclusion.

Grabbed this while doing achievements in Skyreach. Weak Auras are normally displayed in rows to the right of the enemy target frame. And raid frames are above Skada.

It originally was a flat 30% of your current ignite, however it is now worded to "Whatever damage it is dealing currently continued over the next 16 seconds will be applied as a Dot over 20 seconds". I don't specifically look at ignite because I just my intuition more instead of tracking it, I just base off my combustion. However at the ilevel I would go for: ~1.5k Combustion ticks - Bad (awful on pull) ~2k Combustion ticks - Average (bad on pull) ~3k Combustion ticks - Good (Average on pull) ~4...

No problem. I talk with Komma a lot in regards to everything, and you can be assured it will be accurate

Do the multistrike hits add to ignite?

They do, but it is not near significant enough or consistent enough to gear for it.

Unless Simc is broken, the guide isn't a claim, it is a fact. Any other sources are just wrong. And IIRC Mastery will actually exceed Crit in importance come BRF.

LocNess here, same one from MMO Champ. Raided Mage as a main since TotC/ICC, and currently a semi-hardcore raider on US Stormrage. Fire is what burns in my heart, and am excited to mostly lurk here. Figured I might as well join.
