I was under the impression that crystal pulses can also proc Mark of Doom on the boss. Given how often I run SN it certainly seems to be the case.

On our mythic Archie pulls, mythic PoF was frequently taking 8+ seconds to proc :-/ Obviously not as bad as what you folks experienced but pretty horrible for first ring explosion.

I don't think the AoE APLs have been cleaned up and vetted properly, so I wouldn't use the beastlord/addcleave sims as 4+ targets pushes the sim into a suboptimal AoE APL. For arcane I use a single target patchwerk sim and for frost I use a 2 target patchwerk sim to approximate statweights.

Fair enough. Just wanted to clarify that building up to 4 stacks before dropping PC isn't necessarily a good idea if that means part of your PC falls outside of ring, which will absolutely happen if ring is popped on pull (damn rogues).

At your gear level, the socketed bracer is going to be better. You'll probably not replace it until mythic Tyrant unless something else drops as warforged or socketed.

To handle adds as frost, you either lose a lot of water jet uptime or you use a macro to frostbolt the boss during waterjet. Either way, you're almost certainly not doing more add damage than the arcane mage. One of the mages in my raid team is consistently better than me, particularly at frost, but...

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but at higher ring ilvl don't you want to fit PC within the ring regardless of what your AC stacks are?
