Yeah now that it has better secondary stat scaling, the ring is actually pretty damn good for ST.

They just need to fix the Shoulders bug of not generating charge and potentially AM on launch and it would be great on cleave with ring.

Why was it to be expected? That's clearly a bug because it still counts the player as having launched it. It doesn't generate charges or AMs on launch so this is different functionality from the talent, unlike all the other ones for other specs which operate in the exact same manner as the original ...

On top of.that Time and Space receives a.huge nerf (fix) as it no longer triggers AM.
Source? This would be a huge nerf to Arcane.

This is a known problem. influxes of mana (especially RNG ones like AM) cause some struggles with the sim and it judging burn start times. There are a lot of optimizations in the current APL though, so it's a non-trivial task to make the sim more flexible while not also losing these optimizations. ...

Hello. Thanks for all the work, but while looking at the simulation profiles I noticed a few things. With OP, the sim is barraging 15 times a fight on average. With TF, it's 17 times a fight. I am certainly not barraging 15 times even on live. This should not be happening at all. They use Charged Up...

Sure it's slower, but I wouldn't say it's uninteresting. Quickening was only one part of it. The mana management aspect of Arcane remains and that's what ultimately makes it unique among other specs. I should have been more clear. The live DPS I used wasn't patchwerk it was on Ursoc, and my guild clears it in just a bit under 5 minutes. On a target dummy my DPS is around 470K.

Finally had time to test Arcane on PTR. Arcane's AoE and PvP potential have definitely improved. Patchwerk ST took a hit though. Arcane Blast now costs 600% base mana up from 500% base mana. So you can cast 5 Arcane Blasts for the same mana as you could cast 6 before. Arcane Familiar acts as a totem. It appears on the totem list. It's even targetable like a totem if you use /tar Arc.

As such, anything that would despawn a totem is applied to Arcane Familiar too, which is most of what you've said.

How is this a buff? It's basically going to make managing our mana in Mythic+ all the more difficult and tied to Conjure Refreshment.

It's also going to kill high-Quickening builds.

Oh I agree. This won't likely stay in the game. If they do remove NT's ability to generate AM procs, then I hope they compensate elsewhere.

So I know the armwraps have a chance to proc per AM hit, but that means you may proc it twice (or more) within the same AM.

Unless the buff stacks or there's a hidden prevention mechanic (and I doubt it) this may be mildly irritating.

It's like warriors using Hamstring during Battle Cry to maximize Tactician procs. One can say it's a clever use of gameplay mechanics, but considering it's not exactly intuitive and the DPS difference is upwards of 100k, I'd say that it's becoming a little sketchy :P

That's....a huge dps increase...

It's still pretty risky though. Not sure if it's a smart idea to use it in progression without a lot of practice.

It doesn't make sense and is highly unintuitive. Mastery may make the spec feel smoother but it doesn't translate to DPS it seems.

This needs to be fixed.
