The beer topic
The beer topic
Hi,
I am Kver. I have been an alcoholic for..
Oh yeah. For this:
This is amazing stuff. It's from Flanders(West Belgium), it's quite a heavy ale, moderately sweet taste. If you have access to it, try it.
I won't go and post all my favourite beers(Going to take a while), I'm primarily interested in the specialty beers that non-west Europeans have access to.

Murrikan here so this one isn't really relevant to you, but this is my personal beer of choice:
It has a distinctly piney taste to it with a hint of citrus. Goes extremely well with most meals.

I tend to fly all over the beer spectrum depending on the time of year and my mood, but a perennial favorite is the Dogfish Head 60/90 Minute IPAs.

They sound interesting, wish I could get access to them easily

Re: The beer topic
This stuff right here is my jam, but it's a 22 hour drive for me to get it and my sister doesn't live on the east coast anymore so there's no one to send me any. Just a really solid hoppy, aromatic IPA...and they sell it by the growler (those big jugs).
I used to be gud, I used to be best...lol
Re: The beer topic
Just make it an excursion and buy in bulk!

Nice growler of some Dead Guy Ale
Re: The beer topic
I just had this: https://www.google.nl/#q=http:%2F%2Fwww ... F&safe=off" target="_blank
Very interesting stuff, distinct taste of Whiskey, but not dominant at all. Anybody in or near the Netherlands should try and get it, it's limited edition stuff.

I really, really want that one Kver... I can get it in the US, but I'd have to drive across several states.
Re: The beer topic
Yeah I was looking, this particular one has been ordered by a liquor store brand as a kind of novelty thing but it has been made before by a different company which is apparently global. I still imagine it's rare stuff over there though.

Re: The beer topic
@Kver I've had beers brewed in whiskey barrels before but it tastes too much like harsh whiskey for my liking. Only whiskey I'll touch is Crown Royal or Crown Royal Maple.
Re: The beer topic
This one doesn't actually taste too much like whiskey. I'm actually not sure what it tasted like because it wasn't beer either. It's not something you just "drink" like pilsener or anything, not sure@Kver I've had beers brewed in whiskey barrels before but it tastes too much like harsh whiskey for my liking. I've been drinking a lot of the Rogue-Voodoo Doughnut series. You can taste each flavor individually in succession of each other. It's scary.

My wife has Celiac Disease so I don't get to drink much regular beer but we did find this gem awhile back and it's by far my favorite besides some Magner's Cider:
