Use up procs
Ice Nova while waiting for them
than frost bolt as filler

I just cant seem to compete with other mages or at all

i cant for the life of me break down logs like others they might aswell be in Chinese

Why would you precast a frostfire. Without BF proc, FFB doesn't hit harder than a frostbolt and frostbolt can give you procs. And it takes a bit for your MI to start attacking you should pop them just before pull.
