Arcane DPS :(

Hello,

I am trying Arcane as 2nd spec coming from fire; therefore my stats are kinda heavy crit until I get enough haste gear. Have kilt and but not the archmage ring. Please tell me whats (fundamentally?) wrong with my ST rotation?

Opener: 4*AB, MoA, RoP, Barrage, Charged Up, AP+PoM -> AB + AM, 2nd RoP burn
Conserve: CU in between, floating around 30-50 mana until next burn

kilt and lust ring is sub optimal but it's not impossible to do good.

Thanks for the log. Main differences

- Archmage Legendary
- 33% more AM (!); not just due to 2p T20 (which states "5%")
- roughly 8 casts per RoP (while I have only 4-6) (due to legendary und 1st heroism fail?)
- using MoA with RoP in between AP
- AB hitting harder (2,6m ./. 2,0m) (mostly due to RoP squeezing I suppose?)
- slightly more AB casts (2,56s between AB casts / 2,7 AB my log)
- stats more balanced (more crit on my part)
- Raid used 1st heroism properly...

Is there a particular reason you are not chaining ROP? You waited 10s after the first one? I seems to make sense considering AP fills out the first rune, so it is good to wait for a dps proc for 2nd rune?

I didn't use the 2nd rune right away because you have to move from the corrupted circles and I figured I might as well wait a few more seconds to get some more AMs up.

After lots of mythic argus p1 wipes I've had a lot of opener practice and I'm pretty sure you should only chain ROPs if you have lust + one other buff for atleast 5 seconds (concordance /trinket) otherwise you are better off spamming AB and using AMs only when you are at 3, then once AP has run out you drop your 2nd rop and dump all missiles then spam AB till you are oom.

I may not be 100% correct but that's what looked like gave me the best numbers on skada.

If you have all the fire legendarys it might be worth putting your lootspec on fire just to get the archmage ring.
