I'm not that excited about Aluneth but maybe the alternate skins will be nice.
Almost a shame that we already knew the other two artifacts, not much to be excited about with their reveals!

If we don't see anything Mage-centric tomorrow (quite possible) then reportedly every class will be getting their own blog post on Sunday.
Blizzard have also said that every class will have far more spec-specific talents in Legion, and that there will be a lot of talent changes in general. I quite like a lot of our talents, but other tiers are obviously going to be shifted to the PvP tree if not removed entirely, so this is exciting.

A ton is getting done on talents. Needed differentiation. Only avg 5 or 6 spec-unique talents now per class. In Legion? 30...

Changes to talents are, for example, no longer the same thing in one row i.e. a "cc" row. This means the concept of player agency is more important now, since the decisions will be more difficult.

This will likely impact our talents significantly.

Can anyone make any sense of that last quote? "no longer the same thing in one row i.e. a "cc" row. [..] decisions will be more difficult". Why is that more difficult and not the opposite since you might not need cc and just choose no cc at all anyway?

Well it means you have to sacrifice 1 thing to get another. Whether that holds true depends pretty much completely on how things are balanced.

^Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the entire point of the the new(current) system to make interesting choices, and part of it was having similar categories on the same row? What that text says above goes directly the opposite direction. It seems like either a misquotation or someone just making things up as they go.

Unsure how I feel about a new Arcane Mastery, I feel that maintaining at high mana is more interesting than burning and then sitting at low mana until you can evocate.
Time will tell though I suppose.

"Mana doesn't matter, so we're giving you an increased pool of mana"

The new arcane mastery sounds extremely stupid. Why do I need more mana if I no longer gain damage based on mana %?

You can burn with AB longer if you have more mana.
We only need to wait until tomorrow and there'll be a mage-specific blog, I guess we will learn more of their intentions there.

It might end up being only a "burn until you can't Arcane Blast anymore" :>

I does sound like something someone thought after playing Arcane for 10 minutes, doesn't it? :>

This new mastery is stupid IMO. It's like the only thing that seperates a good mage from a bad one...

No word of changes for Fire yet, so they are not giving it as much attention as Shadow.
Will wait to see what they say tomorrow before deciding what my two specs are going to be for sure though, currently Frost/Arcane despite how much like a priest weapon the Arcane staff is :P

I think Dave Kozzak mentioned the blogs will be spread out, maybe one per class per day, so it might not be tomorrow when we know more mage stuff.
Lots of classes that only got minor changes. Frost, arcane mages, were specifically brought up

The arcane mastery change doesn't seem minor though.

Hey there friends,

I Have some buddy's who are at the Darkmoon faire event at blizzcon atm and I had them ask celestalon some questions about prismatic crystal and fire in particular.

The response was boiled down to

- PC is being removed
- IB is baseline 2 charges
- Combustion is now reworked to increase crit chance by 100% for 8 or so seconds (didnt have a response regarding cooldown)
- Flamestrike is being buffed and will grant hot streak (could be heating up or vice versa, just what was said to me)

edit- some frost info from the Q&A
- FFB is gone and replaced by frozen orb? thats all that was said, trying to get some clarification
- Talent that replaces water ele for a damage buff
- Spec will go back to being haste oriented

Thats everything.

Obviously we will find out more via the class blog, however this is just what was said to a fellow raider (Fuyuri) of mine at the class Q&A event at blizzcon that just took place.

Combustion alone is a big change, maybe I will play Fire next expansion.
Excited for that blog now!
