Global CD too short with Heroism and Whispers proc

I don't know how to combat this I need to be in melee if I get a proc of whispers in the dark and hero is up. I will cast a fireball and before it hits I'm already casting another one and personally I don't seem to have the reaction time to hit Fireblast. I seen a post on Reddit saying haste should increase the speed at which your spells travel, that would be perfect to solve his problem.

How do you combat this?

Forgot to mention during combustion if I have all these procs I end up casting pyroblast instead of an instant cast as the global cd is so short and travel time of spells.

The fireball issue you are describing is normal mage gameplay, it shouldn't change anything unless you are not fishing for pyros properly.

As for the combustion issue during hero and trinket proc that is a very real issue, and the only thing you can do to combat it, as far as I know, is to either stand in melee or actually wait for the streak to trigger before starting to cast your pyro. Either way I'm getting pretty frustrated with this trinket as a fire mage.

The best part is when you have Hero, Guldan proc, 4PC proc and Pyromaniac talent. I end up just jumping 24/7 like an idiot. You can actually start casting Pyros in this case, the problem is if you ever start casting a Pyro while having hot streak up its a big DPS loss and you will clip a lot.

Hope they address it with the next adjustments in a couple weeks.

i have the same issue and i believe many other mages faces the same.

mine is worse when i have the arc/cos set with whispers AND Chrono proc + Lust = insane haste....

i counter this with strafing left right left right during combust to avoid clipping.

jumping would not be great because the 1 sec in the air causes delay if u need to cast fireballs.

I'm running a similar setup. Strafing seems to work better than jumping for me as well.

If your second fireball hits before the first one you are too far away from your target, however close that may still be. With Time Warp at the beginning it makes sense to complete the burn phase close to the melees and then move further away once your buffs drop off. What helped me a bit was to build weakauras with audio cues to track the different haste procs. It helps to be reminded when I should be moving closer to the target.

Pyromaniac is an issue of its own I think. My solution was to replace the standard HU & HS textures with a cleaner weakaura that makes it a bit easier to track the proc visually. Other than that it's about reaction time.

Having said that, I do have to admit though that it's pretty sick to get a disco proc during combustion and fire everything and the kitchen sink at the target in ten seconds.

Yeah i know ur feelings Bloodlust, Guldan Trinket, 4 Set Bonus and Pyromanic xD i was often klicking to fast the Pyro so that I was Casting IT before i got the instant Proc during Combustion, But if they Proc in a Row your Burst DMG and also during the Fight is really awesome.

I started using a weakaura to show the Pyroblast cast time, the problem is(unless you are a troll) this pyro only goes under 2 sec cast if you have all procs up, otherwise the weakaura just sits there.

just got hc whispers yesterday, I don't want to know what happens with scorch belt under 30% with hero and proc

Actually, things get a lot smoother. Since the cast instantly hits and you know that it will crit it becomes much easier to anticipate the procs and fire off the pyro afterwards. Even though you'll be casting scorch on steroids, that time is still sufficient to add a fire blast whenever your pyro did not crit. Scorch hitting instantly really is a relief w.r.t. proc management.

However, the greatest benefit of the belt, in my opinion, is that you're able to constantly move with greatly increased movement speed, making it much easier to dodge abilities during the most crucial phase of a fight. I'm running circles around our healers, just because I can. That's not only fun, it also prevents pyro hardcasts.
