Fel Explosives and Phoenix Flames interaction

From my testing it seemed that casting Phoenix flames on a Fel Explosive doesn't do any damage (but still bounces to nearby targets)
Just curious if anyone else has noticed anything weird around this?

I guess it makes sense that it wouldn't bounce TO the explosive, since afaik they can't be "AoE'd", but you'd think that targeting it directly would work...

Yes, it works exactly like you described. It must be a bug, wouldn't make any sense otherwise. Really annoying not to be able tu use PF for explosives.

Was fine when ignite used to spread to Fel Explosives, but now that they fixed that fire is quite bad a dealing with the orbs

I think all aoe does not affect fel Explosives, and it means all no single target are aoe including phoenix flames.
However I agree I haven't found a good way to deal with them with approx 300K HP it require a fire ball or something which is far too long to cast.
