Obelisk of the Void "Questions"

Hey guys,
So.. this week I got Obelisk of the Void out of my chest. At first I was like whatever, but then I started to kinda ask around and people didn't really believe me. I assume this is a very rare piece coming from the Violet hold loot table. So know one probably even considers this as an option. However after a couple people making a pretty big deal I decided to put it through the sims and try it out on Mythic Eli this week.. Needless to say I was quite speechless by the performance from the Mythic fight, Sims and target dummy. Logs to follow.
I'd like some more input on this if people think its viable. So far the only down fall is you have to be in it.. which really isn't that big of a deal.

That shit is insane. Especially come tomb when you'll be playing Glacial Spike.

You can actually use the trinket prepull, switch it, and the rune will still be there. You can get a free buff for 12-13 seconds.

Nice socket, I was very surprised to get a 905 one myself a few weeks back and was not even aware of this trinket's existence.
I am also curious as to how this stacks up against the standard Whispers/Metronome. It seems like it could have a lot of potential

its very simple Skeletonpoop
/use Potion of Prolonged Power
/use Obelisk of the Void
/equipslot 14 Erratic Metronome
you must only equip obelisk before u use this macro.

You cannot. This prob works only because Obelisk buff ground which buffs you. HoV and other On-Use trinkets buffs you directly that's why buff is being removed moment you unequip them.

That makes me hella sad.
Similar issue worked with
Eyasu's Mulligan because it gives you buff which changes into actually buff after duration expires, so you could pre pull use it aswell but doesn't work anymore.
