I suppose one must consider the MI change in relation to prepull MI with spec swap "trick", which hasn't been fixed and still isn't fixed on the PTR yet that I am aware of. If it stays working, those MI will be hitting your crystal.

New Arcane T18 bonuses.

2T18 - Arcane Missiles has a 5% chance to create a Time Anomaly, summoning a random hero through time to assist you in battle for 10 sec.
4T18 - Each of the heroes summoned by Time Anomaly increases the damage you deal by 10% until it departs.

I've also heard that each pet does a lot more damage now. Ataxus was telling me that Jaina was landing Frostbolts for 52K.

I like these new set bonuses. They seem like a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, the 5% proc rate is far too low right now. With ~66 AMs over 450 seconds, that translates to ~7.3% uptime on a 10% damage buff, ie. 0.733% overall damage gain. I'm guessing that the proc rate hasn't been tuned yet.

It might proc on each hit of AM rather than each cast.

No, it seems to only proc on casts on PTR.

Pets appear to be inheriting 550% of spellpower as attack power and spellpower, up from 100%. I just had Arthas Menethil crit a dummy with a 220K autoattack.

dont know wtf is up with my character but im testing arcane in shattrah and I still got the old 2 piece bonus proccing i.e. the PoM one, as well as the chance to proc a guardian on AM cast..Also my character has no casting animation (belf female)

Just logged in and my set bonus text has changed but i have the same behavior exhibited as Zenevieva

Yeah, it seems to be bugged right now. They must have forgotten to remove the previous set bonus.

Arcane 2p and 4p looks now much better :D but bigger proc chance would be nice to make dps a bit more predictable and consistent.

Interesting. I wonder if Shadow Priests will still like this trinket as part of an AS build. Perhaps Boomkins as well. Elemental Shamans will pass, I think.

Back on topic, appreciate all of the mages who posted well-reasoned and well-supported feedback to get Blizzard to reassess Arcane T18. I agree a tuning pass is necessary, however. My napkin math suggested less than 1% DPS gain from the 4PC, which means higher iLvl non-set pieces will likely outweigh the 4PC benefits. Looks like Komma did the hard work here already and reached a similar conclusion.

Anyone else notice that with frost 4 piece T18 you only get 2 charges of FoF regardless of how many targets you root with pet frost nova? bug?

Current results I have:

These are what I would call midway complete. Still not done, but it's farther along then my other posts.

Some notes:

1) All profiles are using the legendary ring.
2) Arcane and Fire are syncing their major CDs to the ring (it's a DPS gain vs. on cooldown for both)
3) Arcane seems to want to IMMEDIETLY drop PC after ring use. Delaying PC to get impacted by the ring is not worth the DPS loss from weaker spells inside the ring duration + PC duration. Later PC = less mastery empowered spells on it. It's basically a loss of AB damage onto PC vs. the gain of Nithramus explosion damage. it's a very small DPS loss (couple hundred) but it is a DPS loss right now.
4) I haven't done anything with CD/ring syncing for Frost. Not because it's particularly difficult, but just because I haven't gotten around to it yet.
5) PC is currently double dipping into Ring explosion (damage done to PC and from PC are both being counted - this probably is wrong, but we're keeping it this way for now)
6) Pets are included in the ring. We don't know if this is right, but we're keeping it like this for now.
7) Arcane still doesn't have its 4pc modeled; so the DPS there is a few % low. I'm kind of hoping the bonuses get changed all together (blizzplz) which is mainly why this isn't done.
8) Frost 4pc is underutilized. See Kommas post above.
9) Fire is using Intuitions Gift and syncing it to every PC/Combustion/Ring use. This is OP, and we already know it's being changed. If it's actually changed in a meaningful way(i.e. no longer massive crit on use), I'll remove the item.

I just ran them using ptr=1. You won't be able to do ring syncing like I did in the profiles unless you can pull from the git repository and build yourself, since the expression to access the ring CD was recently added. If you really want to do stuff with ring syncing, PM me and I can send you profiles that do it in a much more ugly (but functionally identical) way.
I'm sure you've updated since this list, but I've been finding that Demonbuckle Sash of Argus is BiS waist for all 3 specs. I'm not doing anything with the Ring at this point, though, so I could be way off.

Given that it has at least one fairly good stat for each spec, and it's from the last boss and thus has inflated stats, I wouldn't be surprised if it stays competitive at the very least.

But not Arcane? Seems odd, since you're losing 6 Mastery but gaining 15 Int. But again, I'm not simming with the Legendary Ring shenanigans. Even by my numbers, it's only like an 11 DPS difference in the belts for Arcane. Could you perchance post the scale factors you're getting for each of the specs? I can't use your profiles because of the ring syncing, but I think something is amiss with mine. I would greatly appreciate it!

So, just to keep people updated.

Komma has been working on adding the Arcane 4pc pets to SimC. We have functional pets, but due to how ridiculous they are on PTR (and how obnoxious it is to gather data for them), they are not really dealing amounts of damage in any realm of sanity, so we probably won't have any updates on that side of things until the PTR has their damage fixed and I feel like spending hours getting damage range values isn't wasted time.
None of the sims I have show demonbuckle sash of argus being BiS for any spec. Suppose I could re-do the waist sims though.

So I re-ran sims for the three specs. The belt is now coming out BiS for Fire and Frost. No clue why it didn't before, thanks for mentioning it :D
But not Arcane? Seems odd, since you're losing 6 Mastery but gaining 15 Int. But again, I'm not simming with the Legendary Ring shenanigans. Even by my numbers, it's only like an 11 DPS difference in the belts for Arcane. Could you perchance post the scale factors you're getting for each of the specs? I can't use your profiles because of the ring syncing, but I think something is amiss with mine. I would greatly appreciate it!

I'll have to run stat scaling for the specs. Give me a bit to run them and I'll get back to you.

Which simcraft build are you using?
