[Frost] Advice for last bonus roll

I have a doubt , i recently got PoF heroic and i still have 1 bonus roll, should i save it for heroic archimonde (i haven´t killed him yet, have to pug it since my guildies are kinda slow on progress) or use it on heroic iskar for Gaze? is Archi trink+ PoF with ice lance weaving that far ahead from PoF+Gaze no ice lance weaving? generally speaking of course, thanks in advance.

4 out of 5 Archimonde drops are bis for either or both of your two main specs and the 5th has good stats too, from Iskar on the other hand you most likely only want 1 out of 4 possible drops.
I assume that both bonus rolls have the same chance to give you an item, which means that the probability of getting something useful is much higher with Archimonde.
If I'm not completely mistaken the trinket ranking for Frost is also Tome >> Gaze >= PoF, which would be another reason for using your roll on Archimonde.

It gives a very clear answer. From my own sims I can tell you that this also holds true for two target cleave sims.

Tome of Shifting Sands is a very significant DPS increase over PoF/Gaze when you have the 4-set Tier 18. If you have the ability to coin Archimonde, I think you should. If not, coin tier bosses if you still require T18.

I follow similar logic to what Rabona said regarding bonus rolls - Archimonde has by far the more useful loot overall, and both the weapon and trinket are very strong. I'd hold my roll for him.

The exception might be if you don't think you'll kill H Arch in a pug (which does seem unlikely), but even then I personally would save a bonus roll and roll 4 times on better bosses the next week rather than use 1 just to get a single decent piece.

Yups. It's important to try to gauge the efficiency with which your roll will be spent. When I say coin tier bosses, I don't just mean random tier bosses. If you have the option to do so, coin the ones which contain the most useful loot. Typical examples of those would be Mannoroth and Xhul'horac as their loot tables are very strong for Mages.
