When I first started my trial for MCO, I was thrown straight into Thogar progress. On the very first pull with them as a guild I died to the very first train, since I was messing around with my UI, bossmods or something like that. Not the worst fail, but it certainly felt awful to start with.

Could be worse. Remember Thok the Trialraper?

lets see I have 'history' in Highmaul/BRF of equipping some great gear then finding out later that perhaps agility on an item isn't best for arcane mage. I was thinking that's all behind me and made the stage 6 ring as didn't appear to be any great alternatives. Was running dr robot of best in bags and it kept telling me to equip an ilvl 700 ring in bag and I kept dis-agreeing.

Yep - apparently an agility/stamina ring isn't too good for mages. who knew

I got Heroic Warforged Voidcore Greatstaff upgrade and asked in guild for enchant removed it from my character and put it in trade and had it enchanted.

Proceeded to Tyrant Velhari fight and did it without my weapon equipped.

On my second week of HFC a green droped off of a trash mob before the fight (Kilrog Deadeye) I popped a jeeves and sold it or so I thought. I had actually sold my staff and was now using Howling Staff (593 ilvl) green as my weapon rather than my Spur of the Great Devourer (normal 695 ilvl). And I still have not herd the end of it. Always at the start of a pull a random raid member will ask if my gear is right.

Apparently shackles can be located at the before-blink position, even after you've blinked.

Xhul progress:
Green spawns between us mages and the void drop point. (not planned)
I get voidsurge
Blackhole spawns underneath me.
I get knocked over the green stuff.
Blink towards Voidsurge droppoint.
Explosion kills the other mage, who casually camped purple.

not exactly a huuuge fail, but a really unfortunate (and funny) chain of events.

Something else that feels bad on Xhul is getting Void Surge and using Alter-Time in order to quickly get back into position after dropping it off... except Black Hole spawns on you immediately after using Alter-Time so you have to cancel it and run back.

In my old guild we used to stack on the edge, to just drop the fire like 10 y behind us. and it happened once, that the black hole spawn kicked the whole group right off the edge. hilarious.

On our first M Manno kill I called that I'd solo soak an empowered gaze with ice block. Then I fat fingered it. And died. And was the only death on our kill.

I am reminded of this weekly.
