According to current loot lists and with addition of Nighthold raid you want 4 set items from Nighthold, trinkets from EN and all other items from Mythic+10.

whats the best way to compare trinkets and get outputs like you have for the trinket section frosted? or was that some custom work? i realize the difficulty in posting up every possible trinket at every ilvl, but i would like to compare my available trinkets against each other as well as possible drops and where they may overtake my current trinkets if they WF/sockets etc.
im not super experianced with simC, but i get the basics, im just trying to figure out how to manually edit in different trinkets and adjust their ilvl. especially with out having the item yet so i can know ahead of time what raid trinkets if any i should aim for.
i know this may go out of scope of this thread, but if there is a good resource for this i would love to see it.

Regarding precast:
Currently we are prepotting with deadly grace then precasting pyroblast but due to its long cast time we are losing valuable time on our potion. Precasting fireball gets us a few seconds extra potion time at the cost of a fireball instead of a pyroblast.
Trying this in simc:
Precasting Pyro
Deadly grace lasts 30 seconds and with a 4.2 sec pyroblast cast (~2k haste) you will have 25.8 seconds of potion uptime:

Precasting Fireball
With a fireball cast time of 1.91 seconds you will have 28.09 seconds of potion uptime:

30 sec potion uptime, opens with RoP:

Edit: Above still true for the 33% deadly grace nerf.

So, is this true? No one commented on it and I'm not getting similar results with my sims.
Adding this since it seems the reason why roboMage is doing less dps with the http://www.wowhead.com/item=132410/shard-of-the-exodar is because it's running OOM. If this gets fixed this is what to expect.

Exclude 4 set items and you need 4 more items from Mythic+ 10. Even without that a lot of PvP items are better than EN gear. Overall EN apart from trinkets seems really week compared to other sources of gear.Nighthold is months away, no reason to even consider it right now.

As far as I know... item level takes priority over the minor trait.

New here. I'm having trouble figuring out just how much crit is actually worth due to each major web site having different weights. Noxxic claims Int is still better than crit, and Icy Veins claims crit is 1.3 over int's 1.0. This thread shows 8.65 versus Int's 8.02. Reason I ask is with regard to juggling the 6-piece set bonus for 500 int. exactly how much crit will be worth more than the 500 int? Should I calculate the overall net difference using the stat weights provided in this thread? For now, I've decided to bank the "bad" set pieces and just go with the crit I have now, which just clears 60% for me.

Depends on your talent setup and current gear, best is to run a sim for yourself.
I'd say the set is bad for mage considering only half the pieces have crit main, 500 int and even the 8 pieces proc cant outweight that.

So I got the Trinket Twisting Wind 860.
Its one of the top Trinkets according to the list.
But its not listed in the Pairwise DPS Sim. Are there only non Raid Trinkets compared ? Or what should I wear.
I thought Devilsaur und twisting Wind ist best now.
The other trinket was simple Int and crit with a Socket 830ilvl.
Also on the one trinket Sim list, Devilsaur is doing 252k Dps and Twisting Wind 270. But for me Devilsaur made as twice as much than the twisting wind trinket.
So my question, ist the Twisting Wind trinket really that great ?

I am one of the lucky guys who already got the legendary bracers.
Now I think that Pyromaniac is a must and is pulling ahead of Conflag by a lot because of more proc chances?
