We had an 895 Twisting Wind drop last night. Somebody in the raid said that the ICD had been nerfed. Can anyone confirm? Also, most people were saying that trinkets from M+ were most likely going to BIS.

I've heard that Twisting Wind got nerfed previously (don't know if damage or ICD or anything else).
You may sim your character, check how hard the trinket hits and compare it with skada/recount numbers. Is it the same damage? Trinket lists may be outdated and do not show the nerfs yet.

Depending on talent build, Int is sometimes stronger than Crit. Always sim yourself for Weight Scales, Generic Scales are only good generically.

By simming yourself I mean if you get an item you think is stronger because the last sim you did scaled INT higher, and the INT on the new item is much > than Crit loss then sim both setups and confirm if it's a dps increase or loss.

I think PAWN can help with this, but I've never used it.

PAWN would work but I havent seen any stat weights besides what IV or AMR use.

Sim yourself using SimC and then take the Pawn String in the Sim.

So i got 3 traits left to get before aftershocks and the only dps traits left are blast furnace, reignition overdrive and blue flame special. I have read that the extra flamestrike from the golden trait is only 25% of normal damage. With that in mind would it make sense to get the blue flame special trait and then after shocks? Or go for the fireblast traits?

I don't know if it got nerfed, but it's definetly the worst trinket you can get right now. It's borderline useless.

i have ilvl 865 from hc.
it hits for avg 13-16k and 30k crits avg.
it does 1/4 of my devilsaur ilvl 835 dmg on single target / 2target cleave. tested it on both mythic+ and HC today. its useless. from best to the worst. I heard its damage has been reduced by around 60-66%

I am one of the lucky guys who already got the legendary bracers.
Now I think that Pyromaniac is a must and is pulling ahead of Conflag by a lot because of more proc chances?
Am I right or am I missing something there?
Pyromaniac has a chance to reactive Hot Streak when you consume Hot streak. Bracer does not give you more hot streak chances, so no.

Would love to post nerfed Twisting wind sims, because from what i have seen ingame on a 6 min single target fight, a ilvl 840 portable manacracker does 3 times the dmg of a 865 Twisting wind trinket. Even Satyr neck enchant owns the twisting wind :(

Pyromaniac has a chance to reactive Hot Streak when you consume Hot streak. Bracer does not give you more hot streak chances, so no.

He meant the opposite, you have more chance to proc the bracers if you have 8% more PB casted during fights.

ON paper he's correct but there is so much munching to be expected with Pyromaniac that the 8% might become 5 and 5%*20% =1% so he would get ~1% more bracer proc which is an increase but we would need sim to know if it's a significant enough dps increase (I think no).

Depends on your baton Ilvl, at 840 Ilvl it's better than hellfire (850).
According to some people tests you need to get 4 stacks of the trinket before going into combu for maximum results, but since it's not the result of a sim I'm skeptical and I'd say don't change your gameplay, activate the trinket prepull and make it proc during your second RoP if you can't within the first.

One of the most prevalent suggestions on these forums is to sim yourself to get stat weights, see how you should be doing etc. What boss settings do you use in order to get the most accurate results? There is still a LOT of simc that I havent fully learned, or found good tutorials on, and this is probably one of the biggest. None of the default boss options seem to be the best choice.

I'd rather not just use the patchwerk option, as there just isn't that many types of bosses like that left. So what are the settings you all suggest, and how would you set it up?

Your choice of whether to go for reignition and blast furnace or aftershocks is whether you want to focus on single target or aoe.

The last three traits you'll get are blue flame, scorched earth/molten armor. Don't get blue flame before that, it's not worth delaying the earlier three talents.
