With the current live patch you don't have to spend FoF right away, but you don't want to munch them either. In the video it seems like they are leveraging the 2pc T20 and avoiding IL when frozen orb is up to maximize GS damage. IL's are hitting for 900k while they are doing 1.1M DPS. Maybe they shouldn't cast IL at allI was reading this guide (yes, I know, not optimized for next patch yet, doesn't matter) and looking at a youtube clip by Evandis (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOt-m3RsRYI" target="_blank).
Is there a reason why he/she's not using FoF procs? In the clip you can often see him/her having one or more FoF procs but still casting Frost Bolt.
I'm new to GS build though, but in my current gear it sims about equal to my TV build, so wanted to try it out for fun, but now I'm confused as I'm used to spending as much FoF procs as possible.

Overall I'm not sure what the optimal rotation will look like in 7.2.5. Since flurry is likely to still be highest damage/execute time there may be a breakpoint where you flurry freely at less that 3 icicles (or something) and hold it to shatter spike if it procs later in the cycle. It's possible it would be best to ignore FoF? Perhaps using the legendary bracers makes a difference in the optimal rotation as well?
