FROST- How do you use Balefire Branch and what is your opener?

...since the buff decays, I was thinking, that I would precast Frostbolt into Icy Veins, get to 5 Icycles and before casting Glacial Spike I would activate the trinket - after the Spike I would use Orb and Comet Storm so these last three spells benefit from as much Intellect from the trinket as possible.

Am I wrong somewhere?

...also should I activate the trinket before casting Glacial Spike or activating it right after the cast goes off buffs the Spike "mid-air"?

I'd pre-use Orb as to already have it not be a disruptive global during your burn with the trinket. Other than that your order and priority seems fine to me
