So, then, is the Burn>evo>conserve good for 90s i only ask because icy-veins says no, but id prefer to stick with the theorycrafters and simcrafters who have been busting their butts specifically for us mages :)

Icy Veins is correct.

The reason for this is the burn / conserve method relies on leveling perks such as Improved Arcane Power which makes spells cost 10% less rather than 10% more as you currently have and these perks don't start until lvl 92.

F.Y.I. The Icy Veins guide has been checked over and approved by someone who is heavily in the theory crafting side of things and even works on the Mage Simulationcraft module, but they wish to remain anonymous.

ok, thats what i thought as far as the perks, makes sense, and i wasnt trying to be disparaging about icy veins, they are my go to, but ive just seen some discrepancies from time to time btwn here and there

Goodmorning Berlinia,

I got a question for nuke fase, you wrote in your great manual :
3. Cast Arcane Blast if you have more than 50% mana.
4. Cast Evocation if you have less than 50% mana and 4 stacks of Arcane Charge.

Can't we wait to Evo till arcane power runs out or is it to much dps lost that way?

Also on AOE fights what is best rotation on Malkorok adds Arcane Explosion feels weak.
Any suggestions?

This is level 100! Malkorok adds is just reach 4 stacks, Barrage and cleave off malkorok. If you use Supernova keep 1 Charge of it so it hits the adds as well.

Nah, the huge picture is just a distraction. It's a level 72 Guide :)

It's a 6.0.2 guide in your title, so it's normal people ask stuff about Level 90. If it's a level 100 guide, the title is deceiving and should prolly be renamed to stop people from being confused. Berlinia's Arcane Mage Guide for T17 orso. But it's a good WoD L100 guide :p

Yea i know, but I can't edit the title here, only on IV. If one of the admins could rename it to T17 I would blow you a kiss.

Forgive my ignorance, but I have to say I'm a little confused with the dropbox link for gear.

Versatility is bad for us, but the versatility gloves are a "desirable off piece" when there are haste/mastery gloves?
Is too much haste a bad thing that Toothbreaker isn't good?

It's all about the relative weights, once we hit such a high amount of haste from our BiS gear, versatility gives more relative benefit than haste. You want to ideally use the haste/mastery gloves until you are nearing BiS mythic gear, then swap yhem out for the BiS offpiece later on.

Quick question, is it better to refresh NT right before a Barrage regardless of the duration left on NT just to ensure that a 4 stack NT doesn't fall off while rebuilding?

Return to “Arcane”
