Yeah, I'm confused about this part as well, I expected Ice Nova to be the top performer so I'd be interested to know if you found FBomb to be outperforming it.Hi, did you alread fix that, because currently there are "Fbomb"s and "IN"s still in the pics.Ah fuck - I fucked up my find/replace T.T.
Nova = Ice Nova.
IN = Fbomb...I'll have to re-run and fix that!

Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons and Stat Weights
The single target was never messed up. The 2 and 3 targets were fixed almost immediately after that guy posted letting me know it was a problem. if you are looked at them after 4PM EST today, they were already fixed. They are named correctly now, that post was referring to the screwed up images that no longer exist. you can disregard it.
An additional note on infinite IV: I did some additional testing based on a suggestion earlier in this thread about infinite IV and TV/MI, here are my results:
1) Infinite IV is a definite DPS loss at all gear levels with IV glyphed. 4-5%, as reported by the person previously in this thread.
2) Since the OP has IV glyphed (it's glyphed in the default profiles) all MI+TV combinations are under performing by around 4-5%.
3) Infinite IV is a almost insignificant (like 0.01% DPS) DPS gain in Pre-raid gear when IV is unglyphed with MI+TV.
4) Infinite IV is a large DPS gain from normal mode gear onwards when IV is unglyphed for MI+TV.
The next release of SimC will have an improved Frost APL that will make sure it's only doing infinite IV when you have IV unglyphed. I'll re-run the sims for the OP sometime tonight / tomorrow morning with that update.

Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
Updated the OP with racial comparisons.
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
I had difficulty understand if infinite IV should be maintained only during MI's duration or outside as well (with MI/TV as talent choices of course)?
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
The idea behind infinite IV is to keep IV running until the next Icy Veins can be cast. It is done by casting IL outside of FoF instead of Frostbolt, until the buff duration is back to 10s+.
Why using MI with TV for infinite IV ?
Mi like haste, infinite IV work better when IV isn't glyphed. The idea is to cap haste to 50% with raid buff and IV active. MI only benefice better of the huge haste level compared to the 2 other talents.
@Frosted : you still have access to my APL on my drive if you want. There's one more optimized for cleave aoe.

Frost rocks on cleave but Fire reigns on AoE. Where is Arcane ?
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
So running IN_MI_PC yields Int > SP > Multi > Crit > Vers?
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
IN_MI_PC is Int > SP > Mult > Crit > Vers > Haste > Mastery, correct.
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
Props to OP, everything we were looking for, you did it! After seeing this post (the original one) i changed my skills and my dps went up alot, everything cause of you! big thanks.
One thing to take into consideration comparing IN to FB. IN is very easy to handle, no target switching needed.
For FB though...like u have to put down PC, FB another target, take PC into the target again, those are actions which will cost u cast time if u dont have them macro based. And if so, you will have to change alot of your interface when just swapping spells for certain bosses.
Atm i run IN-IF-PC. Probably MI is better than IF. Gotta try FB and MI before starting to raid aswell.
I love IN, so much burst, its so usefull for challenge mode inis aswell with that huge burst and small cc.

Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
The whole point of using FB on another target is to avoid casting it during PC. If you're casting FB during PC's duration, you should be casting it on PC.For FB though...like u have to put down PC, FB another target, take PC into the target again, those are actions which will cost u cast time if u dont have them macro based. Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
I thought the best use of PC was:
1. Cast Frozen Orb.
2. Cast PC
3. Place Frost Bomb on PC.
4. Dump FoF procs into PC.
Am I missing that placing Frost Bomb on a target before casting PC achieves the same or better output?

Re: Pre-raid Frost Talent Comparisons, Stat Weights, and Rac
If you can cleave off PC onto the boss, it's a DPS gain to Fbomb the boss and cleave off PC with FoF-IL to cause it to explode.
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talents, Stat Weights, Racials, Trinkets
I've updated the OP with Trinket comparisons. PLEASE TAKE HEED OF THE NOTE/WARNING. We had to manually update the trinkets in SimC due to them all being hotfixed ingame (so there is no client data changes we can pull from). This means there may be errors! Take the trinket chart with a grain of salt until we get an official client update!
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talents, Stat Weights, Racials, Trinkets
thanks for all the work, thats ALOT of updating for us lazy mages. one claification question tho, for the trinket sims, which stat weights are being run? With Multi being our top outside of int, it would suprise me if Ragewing was stronger than coagulated. (running the numbers in my head and off of memory, not by my comp so bear with me). wing wings will line up better with our CDs but i dont see the vers proc being more valuable than that nasty Multistrike proc
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talents, Stat Weights, Racials, Trinkets
the trinket sims are just standard sims, they have no stat weights run beside them. After the trinket nerfs, Ragewing has a lot more int than coag does, that's probably where the strength is coming from.thanks for all the work, thats ALOT of updating for us lazy mages. one claification question tho, for the trinket sims, which stat weights are being run? Re: Pre-raid Frost Talents, Stat Weights, Racials, Trinkets
duh, thats what i get for not looking at the static and being mesmerized by the MS. thanks yet again for the quick updates and responses. last dumb question for you, the sandman's, thats taking into account no scribe upgrades correct?
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talents, Stat Weights, Racials, Trinkets
3/3, 665 ilvl. So it's fully upgraded.
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talents, Stat Weights, Racials, Trinkets
Am I correct in assuming those not marked by Mythic are Heroic?
Re: Pre-raid Frost Talents, Stat Weights, Racials, Trinkets
So this is the wrong place, but is there an updated rotation thread anywhere around here?
