So a few questions I've seen posted around here (and on MMOc/Bnet), figured I'd go about finding some concrete answers for.

Should I delay MI for IV?

No, for both Glyphed and Unglyphed.

Image

If I have Copelands Clarity, should I hold off on using it to sync with IV?

Definitely not if you have MI as well

Image

If you don't have MI, it's fine either way.

This may be a very silly question, but how come there is a difference between Blood Elf and Worgen on the race comparison?

For some reason, the blood elf has a tiny bit more int. I have no idea why, they are using the same gear....I'll have to go see what's going on. Thanks!

WoWwiki says Blood Elves have a base 23 int, while Worgen have 16. Perhaps that is the difference?

Why is grandiose power, the 645 garrison mission trinket, not in the pre-raid trinket comparison? It should be pretty high up there.

I've seen a lot of top ranking frost mages logs start out with water jet and then use FO and PC after, any reasoning you can think of?

Using FO during water jet means you end up clipping your FoF procs, and using during PC rather than right before it is suboptimal

So if you have clarity you simply synch that with MI for the greatest effect?

Should you delay MI or IV for , lets say a minute, in order to line-up with Lust? Bosses like butcher that really require lusting at 30%

It just simplifies the rotation and avoids having to fuck up.

Pre-cast frost bolt / pre pot > Water jet + frostbolt > 2 / 3 FOF > CD's > PC > 1 FOF > Frozen orb > All FOF .

Also remember when the energy on the crystal is 9 or 17 and you only start casting frostbolt its better to just swap to the boss because the crystal will disappear before it reaches it.

Also if you're on 2 FOF before your 2nd frostbolt cast has hit the boss, make sure to icelance that way your not wasting an extra proc. Main annoyance personally with the removal of 3 FOF from the beta.

CC is automatically sync'd with MI, they are both 2min cooldowns.

I have a question on stat weights and more importantly the impact that flat intellect plays in our overall dps.
My stats are weighted currently as:
Intellect: 4.73
Spell Power: 4.34
Multistrike: 1.90
Crit: 1.66
Versatality: 1.55
Haste: 1.46
Mastery: 1.31

Now when I equip a ring with:
130 Intellect
85 vers
88 multistrike
Total: 913.85

I get a dps drop in simcraft over a ring with:
99 Intellect
66 crit
101 multistrike
Total: 772.76

Now the 680 quest ring has:
150 Intellect
78 vers
113 mastery
Total: 978.43

This ring also results in a overall dps loss for me. I'm wondering why I am simming the two lowest weighted rings as a dps increase. Do I have simcraft setup right? Is intellect not that big of a deal as I think?

Simcraft is currently using all buffs, all debuffs, and a 300 second patchwork style fight (Butcher). Player skill is elite. Low -50ms ping. Target level Raid Boss. 1 enemy. I am scaling intellect, spell power, crit, haste, mastery, multistrike, and vers.

I should also mention IN-MI-PC talents and splitting ice, IV, and water elemental for gylphs.

How come the 660 pvp trinket ranks higher on sims than the Alchemy trinket, when the alchemy trink has higher stats? Does it proc more often or what did i miss?

Edit: Found the answer, it has higher proc rate and longer proc time so the uptime is higher.

I'm using Copeland's Clarity and N Runestone. I'm unsure if I should replace the Runestone with DMF Trinket, the lack of procs still feels strange to me.

My guess is you screwed up the profile when you changed the rings out somehow.

That could quite possibly be right.
Im not quite sure what is going on because the same thing happened with legs.
184 Int
122 crit
122 MS Total: 1264.2
These also resulted in a dps loss, though small, over legs with:
177 Int
92 vers
168 MS Total: 1254.43
This difference is so small it can be accounted to an error, but the rings are what is bothering me at the current time.
EDIT: I should note that the pants totals were compiled using a sim I ran a week ago. My gear has changed since then and they will not be correct with current stat weights. I am just pointing out what I saw last week.

The default was 10,000 interations and I haven't changed it. Should I do more?

I have to head to work here soon, when I get back i'll post what simcraft is telling me.

Posting the input profiles will be the most helpful.
